Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Tenor ("the Service"), operated by Tenor Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Tenor provides an AI-powered voice ordering platform for restaurants. The Service includes phone call handling, order management, POS integration, and an operator dashboard. Tenor answers inbound calls on behalf of subscribing restaurants and processes customer orders using artificial intelligence.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Subscription and Billing
The Service is offered on a monthly subscription basis per location. The standard self-serve plan includes a monthly base subscription with an included call allowance; additional capacity is purchased through prepaid top-up packs, with auto-recharge and a Monthly Spend Cap available in the dashboard. Multi-unit chains with 20 or more locations may transition to a custom Enterprise contract under separate terms. Subscription and top-up fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. You may add locations or cancel at any time from your dashboard; changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle unless otherwise stated at checkout.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit malicious or harmful content
- Resell the Service without a written white-label agreement
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We process call audio, order data, and restaurant information as necessary to provide the Service. Call recordings are retained according to your account settings and applicable law.
7. AI Disclosure
Tenor uses artificial intelligence to handle phone calls. All callers are informed at the beginning of each call that they are speaking with an AI assistant. You acknowledge that AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate, and you agree to maintain appropriate oversight of orders processed by the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tenor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, order errors, or service interruptions.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data retention following termination is governed by our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
